L1/L2 Trade Floor Support to support internal trading applications for FinTech Company

Location: Toronto, 3-4 days a week onsite

• Provide 1st and 2nd level support for production trading platforms and internal tools.
• Troubleshoot live issues - investigate logs, metrics, queries, and performance bottlenecks.
• Work closely with the Head Trader and TechOps team to ensure trade floor systems are stable and performant.
• Use tools like Coralogix / DataDog, AWS CloudWatch, and in-house dashboards for monitoring and alerting.
• Perform basic code debugging and create quick fixes or automation scripts to reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with development and product teams on deployments, updates, and issue resolution.
• Manage incidents, document solutions, and help strengthen observability and reliability practices.
• Work mostly onsite in Toronto (3-4 days/week; up to 5 initially) for close collaboration with the Head Trader and team.

• 1-2 years in a technical operations / support / production environment role (fintech, trading, or crypto preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; comfortable reading logs and running SQL queries.
• Proficient in one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Hands-on with AWS (Lambda, CloudWatch, DynamoDB) and observability tools (DataDog, Grafana, etc.).
• Comfortable with API testing (Postman) and databases (SQL/PostgreSQL).
• Understands automation concepts (not “clicky-clicky” manual support-wants problem solvers).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with traders, engineers, and business teams.

• Prior trade floor or production support experience.
• Exposure to crypto trading platforms or fintech applications.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Experience using Excel and internal tooling for data validation or reporting.
• Previous experience with custom-built monitoring or alerting systems.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning or query optimization.
