Our client, Canada's largest retailer, is seeking a Jr. Data Analyst to support crucial initiatives to streamline and identify operational efficiencies in their store processes and labour management.


Start Date: ASAP

Duration: To December 2026, with possibility of extension

Location: Brampton, ON - 3x a week in office is ideal, but remote is a possibility for strong candidates; Interview will take place in person at the Brampton location


What You’ll Do


  • Support the development, validation, and ongoing maintenance of engineered labour standards.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of labour models and scheduling tools within the Workforce Management System, ensuring updates are made as processes evolve.
  • Contribute to labour impact assessments for new programs, initiatives, or process changes by gathering and preparing relevant data.
  • Perform analysis of operational and labour data using tools like Microsoft Excel and other analytical software to identify trends, support decision-making, and highlight potential areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings to internal teams.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and cross-functional partners to support the successful execution of projects.
  • Ensure timely onboarding of new stores to the model as well as availability of their labour hours on the labour management dashboards.
  • Validate store linears through analysis and deep dive on fixture drawings.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to enhancing team processes and tools.


Must Haves:

  • 0-2 years of experience in data analysis in a professional or academic setting
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint, Word, and Teams
  • A strong communicator who can present data and insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences



Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to data analysis techniques; experience with SQL or similar tools is considered an asset but not required
  • Knowledge of grocery store operations considered an asset
  • Interest in workforce management, productivity analysis, and process improvement
  • Experience using Labour Pro workforce management tool or other workforce management tool
