IT Assurance Analyst to strengthen oversight of IT systems, controls, and processes across both corporate and operational technology environments

Our client is seeking a IT Governance & Assurance Analyst to strengthen oversight of IT systems, controls, and processes across both corporate and operational technology environments

Location: Calgary, AB (Onsite, Downtown)

Term: 6-month contract with possible extension

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in IT Governance, Audit, or IT Risk Management within large, complex organizations
• Proven experience conducting IT systems and controls audits (e.g., SOX, ISO 27001, COBIT, NIST, or similar frameworks)
• Hands-on experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and ITIL practices
• Strong ability to evaluate and document IT controls, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Experience with ServiceNow or other governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) or ITSM platforms

Nice to have:

• Exposure to Operational Technology (OT) or Industrial Control Systems (ICS) environments
• Experience in Oil & Gas or other regulated, asset-intensive industries
• Understanding of cybersecurity controls and compliance assurance
• Certification(s) such as:
• CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)
• COBIT or ITIL v4 Certification
• CRISC or CISM

Responsibilities include:

1. Conducting regular audits and assessments of IT systems and processes to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.

2. Collaborating with stakeholders to develop and implement effective IT governance frameworks and policies.

3. Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of existing controls and recommending enhancements as needed.

4. Providing guidance and support to team members on IT risk management and compliance matters.

5. Preparing and presenting detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations to senior management.
