IT Application Support Team Lead responsible for managing a large portfolio of enterprise infrastructure applications for a growing telematics organization


Location: Oakville (hybrid, 2 days onsite)


Responsibilities:

  • Lead in a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) type role by developing a strong understanding of the various key stakeholders across the organization, especially as it relates to the managed list of enterprise applications.
  • End-to-end responsibility for evaluating, onboarding, and supporting SaaS tools or cloud platforms.
  • Responsible for leading product replacements, vendor management, or integrations
  • Develop and implement strategies to identify technology direction to support the business strategy while maintaining security posture.
  • Working with the team, provide advice and recommendations to management regarding technology direction and roadmap capabilities, features and functions aligned with the business while maintaining security posture.
  • Manage team task assignments, work arrangements and other department expectations.
  • Engage in high priority incidents and manage escalations with internal users, departments and third party vendors.
  • Lead problem management to resolve recurring issues in a timely manner.


Must Haves:

  • 3-5 years of experience managing or leading technical application support teams
  • Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms and enterprise applications
  • Deep knowledge of enterprise-level SaaS ecosystems, with the ability to ramp up quickly on new tools
  • Direct experience with the following tools:
  • Google Workspace (entire suite)
  • GitLab
  • Unleash (feature flag management)
  • Elastic (logging and monitoring)
  • Jira
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide both technical staff and business stakeholders
  • Experience working in executive-facing, high-visibility environments
