Intermediate Vulnerability Remediation Specialist to perform patching for Windows & Linux Physical and ESXi environments for a professional services client

Our valued professional services client is looking for an Intermediate Vulnerability Remediation Specialist to perform patching for Windows & Linux Physical and ESXi environments!

Initial 4-month contract with strong possibility of extension. 100% remote, may need to go on-site to client meetings and engagements.

As the successful candidate, you will have a solid background in Microsoft Active Directory, Windows and Linux Server, VMware vSphere, Network implementation, administration, configuration, and management.

Responsibilities

• Partake in day-to-day project planning activities
• Discovery and Data Gathering
• Assess and prioritize system vulnerabilities; develop and execute remediation plans.
• Perform specific patching for Windows and Linux Physical and ESXi VMs to maintain security compliance.
• Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Active Directory infrastructure.
• Provide basic Linux OS administration and patching.
• Collaborate with security and IT operations teams to ensure infrastructure security best practices.
• Support basic networking tasks, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Maintain detailed documentation of remediation activities, configurations, and system changes.
• Off-hour implementations (evenings and weekends)
• Creation of as-built documentation
• Knowledge Transfer
• Actively participate in maintaining existing client relationships.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years experience overseeing the administration and patching for Windows & Linux environments
• Strong experience working with VMware ESXi & VSphere
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
• One or more of the following certifications:
• Cisco CCNA, CCIE
• Any Azure Certifications
• CISSP, CCSP, CISA, CISM
