Intermediate Solution Architect to provide oversight and leadership across multiple clinical initiatives for a healthcare client


**Can be remote CST hours**


Must haves:

  • 5+ years proven experience working as a Solutions Architect, supporting Clinical IT projects with a focus on Labs, Medical Imaging, and Pharmacy.
  • Demonstrated expert knowledge in creating architecture roadmaps, blueprints, and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
  • Proven ability to align technology initiatives with long-term business goals and transformation strategies.
  • Strong understanding of business models, financial drivers, and how IT enables competitive advantage.
  • Expert-level knowledge of networking, storage, cloud platforms, virtualization, and security architecture, including how these components integrate.
  • Experience designing architecture solutions for Clinical Services-related projects.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and manage senior-level executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
  • Demonstrated capability to evaluate trade-offs and make sound architecture decisions under uncertainty.
  • Extensive experience leading or contributing to large-scale infrastructure projects or solution deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with physical and virtual server architectures, including Data Domain, Isilon, storage backups, and high-availability configurations.
  • Experience with greenfield environments, virtual machine provisioning, resource allocation, and performance tuning.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, including issue identification, objective setting, action planning, and resource coordination to ensure quality outcomes.
  • Proven experience in information management, logic modeling, and conceptual, business process, and workflow design.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, analysis, planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of data management systems.


Educational requirement:

  • Possess either a master’s degree in Computational Physics and Mathematics, Systems Science, Information Technology, Engineering or Computer Science; or a bachelor’s degree in a related Solutions Architecture or Information Technology field, along with three (3) additional years experience (in addition to the required four (4) years) working as a Solutions Architect.


Responsibilities:

  • Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectural solutions.
  • Collaborate with existing teams to enhance architectural maturity.
  • Develop and provide best practices, standards, and methods to optimize architecture processes.
  • Assist in the operations of the Architecture Review Board.
  • Present solutions to the Architecture Review Board.
  • Define architecture templates and standards.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Provide project support to manage the implementation of various clinical services solutions.
  • Ensure integration with existing systems and alignment with business goals.
  • Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution blueprints.
  • Support risk management and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in vendor evaluations and technology selection.
