Our client is seeking a SharePoint Online Developer to support a large-scale corporate intranet modernization initiative migrating legacy intranet capabilities into Microsoft 365 (Hybrid, Edmonton AB preferred)


Overview:

The SharePoint Online Developer will design, develop, and implement modern SharePoint Online solutions as part of a multi-year intranet modernization project. This includes migrating existing intranet content and functionality from legacy platforms, building custom components, and ensuring alignment with governance, security, and M365 best practices.


Must-Haves:

  • 3+ years of hands-on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365 development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building custom solutions with SPFx (SharePoint Framework).
  • Practical experience with Power Automate and Power Apps.
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of SharePoint Online architecture, site collections, permissions, and metadata strategies.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience using ShareGate or other migration tools.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Teams integration and its dependencies with SharePoint.
  • Exposure to Azure Active Directory and Microsoft Graph API.
  • Background in corporate intranet design, user experience, and content governance best practices.
  • Experience working in Agile project environments or hybrid/enterprise M365 ecosystems.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, document, and maintain SharePoint Online solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with business analysts, content owners, and IT teams throughout the intranet modernization project.
  • Migrate content, structure, and functionality from legacy intranet systems to SharePoint Online.
  • Build custom components and solutions using SPFx, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
  • Implement site structures, metadata, and navigation aligned with governance and security standards.
  • Contribute to technical design documentation and implementation planning.
  • Support functional and technical testing, troubleshooting, and post-deployment stabilization.
