Description
Our public sector client is seeking an Intermediate Project Coordinator (Reliability clearance, 5+ years of experience) to support digital transformation project delivery
This contract role provides operational and administrative coordination across multiple initiatives within a digital transformation program. Working under structured governance frameworks in a hybrid environment based in Ottawa, the position supports project managers with tracking, reporting, and stakeholder communications. Candidates eligible for Reliability clearance may be submitted, provided clearance is active before July 2026 start.
1 year contract, Hybrid 3 days a week in Ottawa. Working Hours: EST
Must Haves
- Minimum 5 years in project coordination supporting multiple Project Managers across concurrent IT/ digital transformation initiatives
- Experience supporting 2 medium to large projects simultaneously, including project documentation and coordination activities
- Experience maintaining risk logs, issue logs, decision logs, and action trackers within structured governance frameworks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Teams)
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Asana, or Jira for tracking and reporting
- Eligibility for Reliability clearance required before contract start date
Nice to Have
- Experience supporting Business Analysis within digital or technology projects
- Familiarity with data-related or system implementation requirements
- Exposure to Agile backlog management concepts (user stories, acceptance criteria)
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
- Experience preparing executive-level presentations
Responsibilities
- Provide coordination and operational support to Project Managers across digital transformation initiatives
- Schedule and organize project meetings including working sessions and governance committees
- Prepare agendas, materials, and capture detailed meeting minutes and action items
- Maintain and update project artifacts such as risk, issue, and decision logs, and action trackers
- Collect weekly status updates from project team members and track deliverables
- Support creation and maintenance of executive and Steering Committee decks
- Assist with project communications, dashboards, and stakeholder updates
- Coordinate document management and version control across repositories
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across business, technology, and vendor domains
