Intermediate Events Coordinator to support strategic initiatives and events for a major financial services client- 16544
Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto (Usually 3 days a week but 5 days may be required on some weeks)
Contract Duration: 04/27/2026 to 12/31/2026 and Possible for extension or conversion to FTE
Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week. When there are events to execute possible to be over 37.5 hours.

• Business group: Detail LOB & team’s purpose. Strategic Initiatives and events team, support c-suite events. Executive leadership team, plan manage, offsites town halls etc.
• Project: BAU activities. Multiple projects

Planning and executing events can be complex. It involves balancing the needs of many stakeholders and collaborating with different teams and vendors. It means tracking deadlines, keeping meticulous records and managing budgets. Working on events on a global scale adds further complexity, as it means navigating time zones, different languages and cultures. As Event Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team and help us run our global events calendar - ensuring every event we produce is executed to the highest standards of quality to raise brand identity, increase engagement and drive business impact.
This role is for someone who loves to be behind the scenes and thrives in a fast-paced environment. It’s for someone who loves details and logistics, and gets excited about creating, tracking and managing event plans. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role where you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in supporting global events - big and small - from behind the scenes. You’ll help create event invitations, registration websites, track attendance, help manage budgets, and provide on-site support on event day to see it all come to fruition. You’ll have an exceptional standard of delivery, service and attention to detail across everything you work on.
Typical Day in Role
• Support the planning, coordination and execution of best-in-class experiences
• Support key elements of event planning and operations, including operational logistics and event registration
• Execution of key event touchpoints, including managing calendar invitations, registration and supporting event marketing tactics
• Support budget management
• Build excellent working relationships with key stakeholders and colleagues
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 5+ years experience in supporting the execution of global corporate events from either a corporate or agency perspective
2. Demonstrated project management and co-ordination skills, including the ability to work on multiple projects concurrently. Comfortable managing unexpected events and stressful on-site situations *** High profile high visibility.
3. Financial thinker - comfortable working with numbers and budgets
4. Excellent research skills while being able to think “outside the box”
5. Familiar with technology - Microsoft teams and Microsoft Suite
Soft Skills
• Deadline driven and meticulous attention to detail
• Natural curiosity and propensity to learn; enthusiasm to build skills and responsibilities
• Have a strong sense of responsibility and a positive attitude with strong service orientation
• Observant: have the ability to independently pick up cues and connect the dots to anticipate or trouble shoot
Nice-To-Have Skills:
- Worked with C-Suite executives.
- experience working across different time zones/ collaborating with global teams
Education:
• University education plus a minimum of five years of relevant experience in with a strong portfolio of delivered work
Best vs. Average: Outlined personal attributes/experience/skillsets that make for the ideal candidate
Experienced in being able to connect dots and anticipate needs of the team. Also looking for someone with solid demonstrated of how events work to support and anticipate needs of the team for events. High level EQ and IQ - able to read the room, self-awareness and flexibility.
