S.i. Systems public sector client is looking for an Intermediate Business Systems Analyst/ Application Analyst to integrate and configure COTs products- SPS00354


Permanent position, 5 days/ week onsite in Surrey.


Must Haves

  • Strong experience integrating & configuring COTs products
  • Public sector experience
  • Experience in translating complex technical concepts into clear, understandable language for non-technical audiences;
  • Experience in a hands on technical role, working with programming tools, languages, and technical procedures;
  • Experience working in cross functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and end users;
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving technical problems;
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Knowledge of one or more complex enterprise business applications, web and mobile development platforms, and/or quality assurance systems and delivery processes.
  • Knowledge of specialized programming tools, languages, and technical procedures as well as IT security issues.
  • Ability to anticipate requirements and investigate new technology that may assist in meeting client business needs.


Nice to haves:

  • Relevant certifications (i.e., ITIL)


Responsibilities:

  • Perform analysis, design, development, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of commercial, off-the-shelf (COTS) and custom software applications for both new and existing business and technical information systems.
  • Formulate and define system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify complex information systems for SPS needs.
  • Support the budgeting process by estimating efforts and resources required for project phases and monitoring expenditures or variances.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs and sustainment documentation will be produced, including but not limited to instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation, as necessary.
  • Investigate and resolve software related incidents and problems escalated from the business and service desk.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
