Solution Architect - Data & Analytics (Contract)

Contract Length: February 17th, 2026 - December 31, 2026

Work Model: Hybrid - 2 days on site, Toronto or Mississauga office (Mississauga preferred)

Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Solution Architect of Data & Analytics with a strong data engineering background to support data ingestion and consumption architectures for the CL/SL lines of business within the Intact Lab. This role focuses on designing scalable cloud-based data and AI solutions in a collaborative, close-knit team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end data architectures for ingestion and consumption use cases
• Architect secure ingestion pipelines (e.g., file-based sources such as Google Ads), including firewalls, malware scanning, and data protection
• Design and manage raw, staging, and curated data layers, primarily on AWS S3
• Lead architecture using Databricks (primary) and Snowflake
• Contribute to the evolution of the Enterprise Data Platform
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture standards and security requirements
• Collaborate closely with data engineers, architects, and delivery teams in an Agile environment
• Translate business requirements into effective, scalable technical solutions

Must Haves:

• 7-10 years’ experience in Solution Architecture / Data Architecture
• Strong data engineering and cloud data pipeline experience
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and Snowflake
• Experience designing cloud data warehouses and data marts
• Experience migrating on-prem EDW solutions to the cloud
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Snowflake (required)
• AWS: S3, EC2, Lambda
• Iceberg tables

Nice to Haves:

• GCP (emerging platform)
• Data modeling (PowerDesigner is an asset)
• PowerBI, Informatica IICS, Data Vault
