IAM Project Manager to support large cybersecurity initiative with client in the public sector

Work Model: HYBRID - Two days onsite (Tuesday and Wednesday). Starting in the new year, the schedule will alternate between two days onsite, then three days, and back to two days, and so on.

Contract: 5 months + extension

Overview

We’re looking for a highly technical IAM Project Manager (10-15 years’ experience) to support a major cybersecurity initiative with our public sector client. This role will lead planning and delivery of identity and access management workstreams while partnering closely with technical teams to ensure standards, security controls, and compliance requirements are fully met.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of IAM initiatives (roadmaps, timelines, scope, risks, and reporting).
• Lead workstreams involving identity governance, authentication, access control, and privileged access.
• Collaborate with technical teams to translate IAM requirements into actionable plans.
• Coordinate with security, architecture, cloud, and compliance teams across the program.
• Track progress, remove roadblocks, and manage dependencies and risks.
• Ensure alignment to public sector cybersecurity, compliance, and audit requirements.
• Develop project documentation, status reporting, and executive updates.
• Support change management and adoption planning.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience in technical project management with a focus on IAM or cybersecurity.
• Strong technical understanding of Identity & Access Management components.
• Must have hands-on knowledge of Active Directory / Entra ID.
• Familiarity with IAM domains such as SSO, MFA, PAM, RBAC, and IGA platforms.
• Experience supporting large, complex, or regulated environments (public sector preferred).
• PMP, Agile, or security-related certifications are an asset.
