S.i. Systems regulated client is seeking a HYBRID Senior Business Analyst to facilitate requirement gathering, data profiling, analysis, mapping, transformation, testing, reporting for the CRM SharePoint content migration and Purview Records Management implementation


6 month contract

37.5 hours / week

HYBRID - must be based in Metro Vancouver and able to report to office 2 days/ week (usually Tues and Wed) to downtown office

Target hourly rate $75 - $90 / hour as an incorporated consultant


MUST HAVE SKILLS:

• 7+ years Business Analyst experience

• Sharepoint CRM content migration project experience

Data mapping, data profiling experience

CPBA / PMI-PBA certification or candidate for certification (or equivalent training).

• Demonstrated advanced practice of the visual thinking and ability of finding suitable BA modelling and requirements gathering tools to represent complex information in an understandable textual and/or visual model to engage audience and connect them quickly to critical information for further inputs.

• Strong skills in requirements gathering, data mapping, data analysis, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management.

• Proficiency in data mapping process and tools (e.g., Excel), business process understanding, and data validation is essential, along with the ability to collaborate across teams.

• Demonstrated practice of the Systems Development Life Cycle and Agile, Scrum project management methodology.


NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

• CSM, CSPO, Agile Business Analyst certification

• Lean and /or Six Sigma certification

• Knowledge and experience with modern quality assurance concepts and practice



JOB DUTIES:

Reporting to the Manager, Business Analyst of Project & Business Architecture (PBA), the Business Analyst II (BA II) is responsible for supporting the projects within the Core Regulatory Transformation (CRT) program which is a significant component of the larger multi-year organizational strategic initiative called Business Transformation (BT).


  • With oversight from the lead Project Manager, understand business objectives and support stakeholders in identifying and documenting needs and requirements.
  • Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Conduct stakeholder workshops and interviews to capture business needs for document management and CRM integration. Analyze and document requirements for SharePoint Online design, including document libraries, metadata, and user permissions.
  • Solution Design & Integration: Define SharePoint architecture aligned with CRM data structures and security requirements. Collaborate with Deloitte and Data Migration teams to validate integration and data mapping.
  • Documentation & Specifications: Develop Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and User Stories. Maintain traceability between requirements and solution components.
  • Testing & Validation: Support business testers during User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Ensure the solution meets functional, security, and compliance standards.
  • Engage with business stakeholders including the business Product Owners, Process Owners, Data Owners, Data Stewards, SMEs, technical supporting teams and change management teams, to gather, analyze, and document data requirements.
  • Analyze data objects and relationships. Collaborate with other project members in identifying data sources, leading the data mapping activities, aligning source and target systems, defining data transformation rules, and facilitating on-going communications among stakeholders to ensure successful migration of data from legacy systems to new systems.
  • Prepare detailed business requirements documents (BRDs), user stories, wireframes, mock-ups, and functional / non-functional specifications.
  • Participate in solutioning process document solution options and verify requirements and designs with business process owners or SMEs for sign-off.
  • In consultation with business SMEs and the Documents and Records Management project team, create and manage product backlog items, facilitate backlog grooming sessions.
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance Analysts and Records Analysts to ensure they are fully aware of and understand the requirements of the CRM SharePoint content migration, implementation and integration and to ensure the new solutions meet the day-to-day record management requirements.
