S.i. Systems enterprise client based in North Vancouver (Pemberton area) is seeking a HYBRID (North Van) System Analyst II to support design, configuration, and optimization of enterprise CAD and PLM platforms.
Hybrid - 3 days / week onsite in North Vancouver Pemberton / shipyards area
6 month contract
40 hours / week
MUST HAVE SKILLS:
- 3-6 years of experience in System Analyst, Technical BA, in an enterprise system environment
- Experience working with CAD and/or PLM systems (e.g., engineering design, product data, configuration management) or process modelling systems.
- Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO)
- Solid understanding of system workflows, integrations, and data dependencies.
- Working knowledge of SDLC, system configuration, and implementation practices.
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
- Experience in engineering and manufacturing environments
JOB DUTIES:
The System Analyst II supports the design, configuration, and optimization of enterprise systems with a primary focus on CAD and PLM platforms.
This role operates at the solution and execution layer, translating business intent and validated process requirements into executable system workflows, configurations, and technical specifications.
Working closely with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Developers, and Business Stakeholders, the System Analyst II ensures that CAD/PLM solutions are scalable, traceable, and aligned with Seaspan’s strategic objectives and enterprise architecture standards.
This position plays a critical role in enabling system capabilities that support long-term digital transformation, engineering efficiency, and data integrity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate BA-validated business requirements and To-Be processes and Solution Design models into system-level workflows and behaviours for CAD and PLM platforms.
- Design and document To-Be system workflows aligned with approved business process models.
- Analyze system dependencies, integrations, and impacts across engineering and manufacturing systems.
- Create and manage system-level user stories and backlog items in Azure DevOps (ADO).
- Write technical and functional specifications per user story to enable consistent development and configuration.
- Maintain end-to-end traceability across process gaps, system requirements, user stories, and test cases.
- Define and support system and integration test cases linked to user stories.
- Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and defect analysis.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts during UAT preparation, while recognizing that final UAT sign-off remains a business responsibility.
- Work within approved architectural decisions and scoped initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards.
- Provide system-level insights and recommendations to support design decisions without independently redefining business scope or strategy.
