Description
S.i. Systems mining client is looking for a Global Network Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support a company's computer network infrastructure.
FTE role open to candidate from Toronto, ON (Remote) or Vancouver (hybrid model -3 days per week)
MUST HAVES:
- 8+ years of experience analyzing, configuring, troubleshooting, and designing complex enterprise networks across global environments.
- Extensive experience with complex routing, switching, and ISP environments.
- Experience with highly-available network configurations.
- Strong proficiency with routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
- Deep understanding of WAN architectures, including legacy MPLS and emerging SD-WAN and VPN technologies.
- Thorough knowledge of enterprise IPv4 protocols and emerging IPv6 deployments.
- Expertise in QoS configuration and management on routers and switches.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls and security appliances, preferably Palo Alto (including Panorama), and Meraki.
- Skilled in managing user remote access VPN headends, such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto GlobalProtect, and Meraki VPN solutions.
- Good understanding of PKI, RADIUS, SCEP.
- Strong familiarity with cloud networking, specifically Azure services including Virtual Networks (vNets), Landing Zones, vNet Peering, vWAN Hub, Network Security Groups (NSG), and Azure DNS.
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with network configuration, automation tools, telemetry, and authentication technologies.
- Proficient with network troubleshooting tools such as SNMP monitoring, packet analysis software (Wireshark), and network tracing platforms like ExtraHop.
- Working knowledge of various network operating systems, including PAN-OS, Cisco IOS, Arista EOS, and Meraki.
- Familiarity with Network Access Control (NAC) technologies such as Aruba and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) or Forescout
- Strong understanding of security tools including CrowdStrike and Darktrace.
