Financial Analyst to support financial visibility and analysis across applications, product, business intelligence, and analytics portfolios

Our client is a national healthcare company. They are looking for a Financial Analyst to support financial visibility and analysis across applications, product, business intelligence, and analytics portfolios.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys financial analysis, operational cost visibility, budgeting, and stakeholder collaboration. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing financial baselines, analyzing initiative spend, and providing clear insights that support project managers, finance teams, and business leaders.

Duration: 9 Months, to start

Location: Brampton - 4 days/week onsite

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data across technology and business initiatives to understand current spend, cost drivers, and financial trends
• Establish financial baselines across projects, applications, and operational initiatives
• Track and manage initiative financials, including budget assumptions, operational spend (OpEx), milestone payments, and accruals
• Work with project managers, finance partners, and operational stakeholders to understand how costs are generated, tracked, and forecasted
• Monitor actual vs. planned spend, identify variances, and provide clear explanations and recommendations
• Support budget planning and financial forecasting for ongoing initiatives
• Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and executive summaries using Excel and PowerPoint
• Translate complex financial and operational data into clear insights and visual summaries
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain financial transparency and accountability
• Establish recurring financial review cadences (weekly/monthly spend reviews, variance analysis updates)

Must Haves:

• Strong experience in Financial Analysis
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, financial tracking, variance analysis, data structuring)
• Experience working with budgets, operational spend (OpEx), forecasting, and financial reporting
• Ability to create executive-ready PowerPoint presentations summarizing financial insights
• Strong stakeholder communication skills and ability to translate financial data into business insights
