Data Lead for an Asset Management program

S.i. Systems client is looking for a Data Lead for an Asset Management program. This role will focus on addressing long-standing data quality challenges and establishing structured, reliable data practices for the asset management program.

Must Haves:

• Strong experience in data cleansing, migration, and transformation
• Proficiency in scripting (e.g., Python, SQL) for data manipulation and automation
• Experience working with complex, unstructured, or legacy datasets
• Ability to analyze and standardize data across multiple sources and systems

Responsibilities:

• Assess and remediate legacy data issues, including ~25 years of inconsistent data practices
• Identify and populate missing mandatory fields through data analysis and scripting
• Analyze data integrity issues, including incorrect or inconsistent field usage, and determine appropriate data mapping and placement
• Perform data cleansing, extraction, migration, and collection activities
• Define what data needs to be collected and ensure accuracy and completeness
• Enhance and standardize data across systems, going beyond basic migration tasks
• Work across 28 major operational units (vessels), each with slightly different data structures and processes
• Manage and navigate a high level of data complexity and variability
