Overview

We are looking for a temporary Magazine Editor to transform a 2025 accomplishments report-currently written by technical teams-into a polished, magazine-quality publication. Think TIME Magazine or a McKinsey-style report: visually engaging, structured, professional, and easy to read.

This editor will refine content, rewrite where needed, support layout direction, and work with an existing graphic designer to produce a final, print-ready publication. This project is overdue, so we’re looking for someone who can jump in quickly and deliver high-quality work.

Must-Haves
  • Strong magazine editorial experience (print or digital).
  • Proven ability to rewrite, refine, and structure technical or dense content into clear, human-friendly narratives.
  • Ability to shape a report into a cohesive story that showcases year‑over‑year achievements.
  • Experience collaborating on print-ready publications.
  • Expertise in content review, layout direction, and publication flow.
  • Ability to work with pre-existing visuals, data, and charts - and create or request new charts as needed.
  • Detail-oriented editor capable of reading the entire report and performing full editorial rewrites if required.
  • Able to work under tight deadlines with a temporary/urgent engagement.

Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience producing analyst-style reports (McKinsey, Deloitte, Gartner, etc.).
  • Familiarity with marketing communications or corporate storytelling.
  • Ability to give market-informed pointers on style, tone, and positioning.
  • Light knowledge of data visualization, chart design, or layout tools.
  • Comfort working with an existing graphic designer to polish final visuals.
  • Experience creating “super pretty” layouts for print or digital magazines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Convert a technically written 2025 report into a magazine-style publication.
  • Review, edit, and rewrite content to improve clarity, flow, and impact.
  • Work with internal teams to confirm messaging while maintaining editorial quality.
  • Collaborate with a graphic designer to:
  • finalize layout
  • build or refine charts
  • ensure print-ready formatting
  • Create a final publication that is professional, attractive, and easy to navigate.
  • Ensure the final product clearly demonstrates everything the team accomplished in 2025.
  • Prepare a version suitable for print and digital publishing.
