Our financial services client is seeking a Business Systems Analyst - Expert (10+ years) to support equity trading and post-trade processing using analytical and data-driven approaches

Join a leading banking technology team operating within the equity markets domain. This role focuses on analyzing trading and post-trade workflows, ticketing, and reporting to enhance system automation and compliance processes. The position offers exposure across trading lifecycle operations with potential for contract extension or conversion. Work closely with a dynamic team supporting supervisory and regulatory reporting initiatives.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid - 1 day per week in office - Mondays

Must Haves

• Advanced data analysis capabilities supporting equity trading functions
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle and related messaging workflows
• Proficiency in SQL (1-2 years) for data queries and investigation
• Knowledge of FIX messages and specifications for trading systems

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Databrick
• Experience working with The Bank's equity markets group
• Exposure to AI agents

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to enhance system functionality
• Assess existing trading and post-trade processes for improvement and automation
• Review electronic data processing systems and workflows for efficiency
• Evaluate system capabilities, limitations, and scheduling constraints
• Support data analysis across equity trade reporting and supervision processes
