Business Systems Analyst (Capital Markets)with client in Investment Management Indsutry

• Work with engineering teams to support the refactoring of an existing Spring Boot-based modernization project.
• Translate business needs from internal portfolio/fund stakeholders into detailed technical requirements.
• Provide hands-on technical input to help re-design a monolithic, tightly coupled application into a modern microservices architecture.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and product teams to define data flows, system interactions, and platform enhancements.
• Support customization of an internal system modeled after major buy-side platforms (e.g., Charles River, Bloomberg AIM, Aladdin).
• Conduct requirements sessions, backlog grooming, and user story writing within an Agile environment.
• Act as a bridge between business and engineering to ensure features meet investment/portfolio workflow needs.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and provide clarification on trading, portfolio management, or investment operations requirements.

• Strong capital markets / buy-side domain knowledge (Trading, Portfolio Management, Investment Operations).
• Experience with at least one buy-side platform:
• Charles River
• Bloomberg AIM
• Aladdin (BlackRock)
• Ability to provide technical detail to developers (background in software development or very strong technical BA skillset).
• Experience writing user stories, process flows, and requirements in Agile environments.
• Ability to work hands-on with engineering to support rebuilding and modernization initiatives.

• Previous experience at large banks, pension funds, hedge funds, or asset management firms.
• Exposure to systems that supplement or customize buy-side platforms.
• Familiarity with microservices concepts and modern cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with Jira or similar tools.
• Engineering / development background.
