Our financial services client is seeking a Contract Application Support Analyst (5+ years) to deploy and support Kafka Enterprise on OpenShift & Kubernetes

Join a specialized OpenShift & Kubernetes Operations team supporting enterprise-scale clusters across a major banking environment. This role focuses on the build, launch, and support of a new Kafka Enterprise service running in OpenShift, along with ongoing operational support for multiple clusters. The position offers strong technical ownership within a high-impact infrastructure initiative managed by the CAAS team.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid - 1 day a week Tuesday- Training 3 days a week on-site for the first month + every second Friday of the month

Must Haves

• 5+ years managing Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes containerization platforms, or supporting Kafka in enterprise environments
• 5+ years of production application support in enterprise settings following Change and Incident Management processes
• 5+ years supporting mission-critical infrastructure with high availability across 24x7 operations
• Proficiency with RHEL Linux OS, GitOps, GitHub, Shell scripting, Microsoft Azure, Prometheus, and Grafana

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting applications in cloud or containerized environments
• Background in the financial sector
• Familiarity with CI/CD, YAML, or automation tools

Responsibilities

• Perform operational support for OpenShift 4 clusters
• Set up and configure Kafka Operator/Cluster and related services
• Support environments through upgrades, maintenance, resource quotas, namespaces, and monitoring
• Execute pipeline-based deployments for OpenShift services using GitOps
• Work in Linux command-line environments
• Operate within Microsoft Azure to manage deployments and integrations
