Automation Test Engineer with experience in automated acceptance testing, AWS, CICD tools and proficiency in Javascript and Python 14157

Permanent Full Time

Hybrid (3 times a week on site)

Must Haves:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in test automation
• 1+ year of experience testing in an agile cross-functional team
• 2+ years of experience with automated acceptance testing
• 1+ years of experience working with AWS
• Extensive experience with CICD tools such as CodePipeline or Jenkins
• Experience with Selenium based test automation frameworks such as Robot Framework or WebdriverIO
• Proficiency in programming in languages such as Javascript and Python

Nice to Haves:

• Experience with source code management tools, GIT or CodeCommit preferred
• Experience with automated calculation and data validation; big data(Spark) experience an asset
• Overall experience with REST, messaging and relational databases (NoSQL is a plus)
• Experience working with Node and React is an asset
• Must be self-motivated and driven, with demonstrated knowledge and skills in: Creativity, technical analysis, problem solving, communication and client service.
• Knowledge of financial industry is highly desirable

About the Role:

You will be working in a cross-functional team, using agile methodologies to build cloud native applications for the financial services industry. You will contribute to overall CICD and ensure quality is maintained through early and frequent use of automated testing.

Job Duties in Brief:

• Participate and contribute on all team activities such as sprint planning, daily scrums and retrospectives
• Plan, create and execute test cases applicable to user stories
• Build and execute automated system and performance tests for APIs and web applications
• Work closely with other engineers and product owners to define testing needs
• Automate and scale test execution and analysis in AWS
• Help determine and then ensure agreed up test metrics are met
• Perform reviews and ensure the quality of the team’s work

Salary Range: CAD $105,000 - CAD $135,000
