Job Title: API & UI Automation Tester

Location: Hybrid - 3 days onsite at Markham location

4-month contract (possible extension)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled API & UI Automation Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing API & UI for personal and commercial insurance applications. This role involves ensuring that all APIs and UI

functionalities related test scenarios are automated and integrated as part of our enterprise regression suite.

Key Responsibilities:

• API Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute API Automated tests and framework, plan and scripts to ensure the APIs meets requirements.

• UI Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute UI Automated tests and framework, plan and scripts to ensure the UI functionalities meets requirements.

• Guidewire Expertise: Utilize Guidewire software to perform testing on insurance applications, ensuring they meet business and technical requirements.

• Analysis and Reporting: Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide detailed reports with recommendations for improvements.

• Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive testing coverage.

• Monitoring: Implement and monitor test automation metrics to ensure ongoing test execution performance.

• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of test plans, scripts, results, and recommendations, also JIRA QE boards.

Must-Have Skills:

• 5+years of experience in API & UI testing, with a focus on personal and commercial insurance applications.

• Proficiency in Guidewire software.

• Strong knowledge of API & UI testing tools (e.g. Selenium, Postman, SOAP UI, GW GT Framework).

• Experience with test automation planning and testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with various scripting languages like JavaScript, Python.

• Experience in Java/J2ee (EJB, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Web Services, JMS, JPA)

• Experience with Edge API Layer and exposure to digital portals

• Ability to Integrate the applications using XML and GOSU

• Experience with Jenkins, Git, AWS, Azure

• Experience with large scale transformation programs releasing multiple core technologies and building software internally while integrating with external implementation partners

Nice to have:

• Experience with cloud-based environments and testing.

• Certification in API/UI automation testing or related areas.

• Knowledge of insurance industry standards and regulations.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information

Technology, or a related field.
