AI/ML Program Manager required to establish and grow the Client’s AI/ML Practice, and to lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact innovation initiative

Our GTA based, Municipal Government client seeks a strategic, execution-focused Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) and Innovation Program Manager to establish and grow the their AI/ML Practice, and to lead the end-to-end delivery of high-impact innovation initiatives.

ROLE:

The incumbent will set at the intersection of technology, business, and transformation. The ideal candidate is a senior project or program manager with a strong foundation in emerging technologies, specifically in AI/ML, and a proven track record of driving innovation from concept to pilot to scaled implementation.

The incumbent will be responsible for:

· Establishing the AI/ML Practice, defining its structure, operating model, roadmap, and governance in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders

· Driving AI/ML and emerging tech initiatives: identifying, prioritizing, and managing a portfolio of proof-of-concepts (PoCs), prototypes, and pilot projects

· Coordinating cross-functional teams across business units, data science, engineering, operations, and vendor partners to ensure successful outcomes

· Translating business needs into use cases and technical requirements

· Tracking progress, measuring impact and providing clear reporting to leadership

MUST HAVE:

• 8+ years of experience in program or project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex, cross-functional initiatives.

• Experience managing innovation or digital transformation programs from ideation to execution.

• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) with PMP, Agile, or equivalent certifications preferred.

• Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, technologies, and use cases (e.g., NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics).

• Experience working closely with data scientists, ML engineers, or AI vendors to deliver solutions.

• Proven experience in managing large, complex projects, particularly in the fields of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Digital Transformation.

• Experience with business case development, ROI analysis, and the ability to manage stakeholder expectations.
