Location Address: Hybrid - Toronto- 1 day/week (Tues/Wed)

Subject to change: 3-4 days onsite may be required based on business needs

Contract Duration: 6 months (Must convert to Perm)

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

Story Behind the Need

Business group: Global Banking and Markets Engineering (GBME) is the fast-moving, award-winning technology engine that powers Bank’s Corporate, Investment Banking, and Capital Markets businesses.

Project: Bank’s Global Prime Finance group is seeking an experienced Securities Lending Business Analyst to join the Prime Services IT team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the ongoing enhancement and support of the Bank’s strategic securities lending platforms, working closely with front-office, operations, and technology stakeholders across Toronto, New York, and London.

Similar to cash prime because there is only 1 FTE BA so this will be a significant role with exposure to front middle back office and related to all aspects of securities lending

Typical Day in Role:

• Conduct detailed business and systems analysis for the securities lending platform suite within Prime Services

• Elicit, document, and obtain sign-off on business requirements (BRDs) and functional specifications (FRDs)

• Collaborate with global business stakeholders (Trading, Operations, Client Services, Risk, and Compliance) to identify issues, prioritise enhancements, and define solutions

• Partner with Development, QA, and Environment Management teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and accurately implemented

• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including defect management and formal sign-off

• Manage production deployments in accordance with the Bank’s change and release management governance framework

• Provide post-implementation warranty support and prepare comprehensive handover documentation and training materials for the Production Support team

• Maintain accurate backlog, status, and traceability records in JIRA and Confluence

• Deliver regular status reporting and participate in governance forums with senior management

• Perform ad-hoc data analysis and rapid prototyping using SQL and scripting tools as required

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1) 5+ years of business analysis experience within Prime Brokerage or Global Markets, with preference for specific expertise in Securities Lending (essential)

2) Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and analysis

3) Experience with Unix and Shell Scripting

4) Familiarity with relevant platforms (e.g., Loanet, EquiLend, Pirum, or internal sec-lending systems) and regulatory frameworks (10C-1A, SFTR, Basel III LCR/NSFR impact)

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, and enterprise change management processes

2) working knowledge of Python/ Java or similar scripting languages e is highly desirable

3) Level 2 support experience

4) Experience working on projects that span change in front, middle or back-office systems and teams.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline

Best VS. Average Candidate:

Tech BA with more focus on analytical skills, looking for someone with Prime experience

Experience BRD and FRDs

Strong knowledge of the end-to-end securities lending lifecycle, including inventory management, collateral optimisation, corporate actions, recalls, and fee calculations
