Location: Toronto/Mississauga/Scarborough- Hybrid (2 Days a Week on site)

First 2 Months will be in Scarborough then can go to either Toronto or Mississauga offices

Duration: 6 Months (Must be convert perm after)

Hours: 37.5 Hours per week

FTE Salary Range: $97k with 10% Bonus Structure

Story Behind the Need

Business group: Scotiabank’s Global Technology Services (GTS) Service Assets & Configuration Management department is responsible for the management of the Bank’s hardware IT assets throughout their lifecycle from acquisition to retirement. We are also responsible for the creation of standard IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes and oversight for adherence to the processes from our global partners.

Project: This role supports global operations across Canada, Latin America, Asia Pacific, London, New York, and Mexico, while contributing to multiple ongoing projects.

You will play a key role in administering and maintaining the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensuring high-quality asset and configuration data across the organization.

Typical Day in Role:

• Administer and maintain the ServiceNow® CMDB and Discovery modules.

• Oversee data quality for hardware and software assets, ensuring accurate lifecycle, ownership, and relationship information.

• Conduct configuration audits and work with Technical Service Owners to remediate discrepancies and improve processes.

• Build and maintain CI relationships by collaborating with SMEs and Service Owners.

• Support the creation and maintenance of Configuration Management Plans.

• Work with Change Management to identify CI impacts resulting from planned changes.

• Lead or assist with CMDB data analysis, monitoring, and reporting.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

1) 5+ years of hands-on working experience in data reporting with ServiceNow® CMDB, Asset Management & Service Catalogue and Service Now Incident/Problem/Change Management modules

3) 5+ years of working experience in performing audits of hardware and configuration items, as needed to maintain accuracy within the CMDB, with hands-on experience in monitoring and managing expectations to CMDB policies.

4) 5+ years’ experience with networking and infrastructure, which includes servers, networking, databases, and cloud services in large organizations

5) expert level skill with MS Excel to create/maintain macros, pivot tables, VLOOKUP & formulas.

Nice-To-Have Skills:

1) Hands-on technical working experience with SQL, Python, Power BI.

2) Hands-on technical experience with ServiceNow® Discovery, including service mappings.

4) Experience in FI/banking

Education:

Post secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related field.

Service Now certification nice to have

Best VS. Average Candidate:

Experience with Service Now CMDB; need to understand what IT service management, strong data analytic skills.
