What will your role involve?

Accounting Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Financial Controller to ensure all accounting and financial reports are prepared as accurately as possible and within established deadlines
  • Prepare reconciliations and operational analyses
  • Prepare and verify billing and follow up on accounts receivable
  • Record customer payments and deposits and respond to customer inquiries
  • Participate in the month-end closing process
Payroll Responsibilities
  • Support the Payroll Manager
  • Process employee hires and terminations in the system
  • Issue Records of Employment (ROEs)
  • Respond to payroll-related inquiries
  • Maintain employee balances and accrual banks (vacation, sick leave, banked time)
  • Perform any other related duties
  • Review and verify employee timesheets

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual candidate (French and English), spoken and written, required due to regular interactions with an international clientele
  • College diploma or university studies in Accounting (Bachelor’s degree in Accounting considered an asset)
  • Strong computer skills; knowledge of Windows environment, Galaxy Lightspeed (PMS), Positouch, or equivalent systems is an asset
  • Flexible individual with the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Strong teamwork skills and excellent interpersonal abilities
