What does your role involve?

  • Hiring, training and managing the brigade’s schedules
  • Supervising and evaluating team members
  • Managing conflicts and maintaining a good work climate
  • Daily inspection and rigorous application of MAPAQ standards
  • Developing and managing menus
  • Implementing kitchen policies and procedures
  • Analyzing reports and developing action plans
  • Delegating and coordinating operations
  • Preparing budgets and controlling costs
  • Managing orders, inventory and supply
  • Negotiating with suppliers
  • Purchasing and maintaining equipment

Required qualifications

  • 5 to 8 years of kitchen experience, including significant experience in supervision and management
  • DEP, DEC or AEC in cooking
  • MAPAQ certification (preferred)
  • Leadership, creativity and strategic thinking
  • Autonomy, initiative and versatility
  • Stress tolerance and dynamism
  • Proficiency in English is required due to regular interactions with an international clientele
