The Financial Advisor is responsible for contributing to the firm's growth by developing new client relationships while delivering an exceptional client experience.
The successful candidate guides clients through every stage of the financial planning process—from discovering their needs to implementing recommendations, conducting annual reviews, and building long-term client relationships.
Working collaboratively with internal specialists, the Financial Advisor develops and presents integrated retirement, tax, investment, insurance, and estate planning strategies designed to help clients achieve their financial goals. Success is measured by new business development, client retention, revenue growth, client satisfaction, and an exceptional client experience.
Core Responsibilities
GenerateNew Business
- Engage with qualified prospects generated through the firm, referral partners, and marketing initiatives.
- Conduct discovery meetings to understand clients' personal and business needs, priorities, and financial objectives.
- Identify planning opportunities and recommend integrated financial strategies.
- Present the firm's value proposition and guide prospects through the decision-making process.
- Consistently achieve business development, activity, and revenue objectives.
Deliver Comprehensive Financial Planning
- Prepare and present comprehensive corporate strategies, retirement, and estate planning recommendations.
- Guide clients through the implementation of recommendations.
- Stay current on industry trends, financial planning strategies, and regulatory requirements.
Lead Client Relationships
- Serve as the primary advisor for an assigned portfolio of clients.
- Conduct annual review meetings and provide proactive follow-up.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience through timely response and trusted advice.
- Identify new planning opportunities as clients' needs evolve.
- Build long-term relationships that promote client retention and loyalty.
Drive Organic Growth
- Ask for introductions as part of ongoing client reviews.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate outside assets and deepen existing client relationships.
- Participate in educational webinars, client events, and marketing initiatives.
- Contribute to the firm's continued growth through relationship management and community engagement.
Compliance & Operational Excellence
- Maintain accurate client records and CRM documentation.
- Complete a Financial Needs Analysis (FNA) for prospective clients.
- Ensure Know Your Client (KYC) information and regulatory documentation remain current.
- Comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards.
- Maintain all required licenses, professional designations, and continuing education requirements.
