Carpenter/Painter Tradesperson
Prince Rupert School District is seeking a skilled temporary casual Carpenter/Painter Tradesperson to join our team for the summer. This role involves a mix of painting, carpentry, general maintenance, and labour duties across district facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Estimate and plan painting projects
- Install and repair drywall and wall covering
- Provide guidance to maintenance staff
- Perform general and minor building repairs
- Maintain school grounds and playing fields
- Operate district vehicles and power tools
- Work outdoors and at heights as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience or equivalent training
- Valid B.C. driver’s license
- Mechanical aptitude for small engine repair
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of safety protocols
