About the RoleWe are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer to join our dynamic e-commerce team and contribute to the growth of our digital platforms, including rona.ca. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work within a SCRUM Agile team to design, develop, and deploy scalable, high-quality e-commerce solutions.
This role requires strong expertise in modern full-stack technologies (React, Node.js, Next.js, Golang), combined with the ability and motivation to learn and master the VTEX IO platform, which powers our e-commerce ecosystem.
No prior experience with VTEX is required-we will support your onboarding and training.
Your ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement technical solutions to meet evolving business needs using ReactJS, Node.js, Next.js, and Golang.
Participate in the full development lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and production support.
Learn and develop on the VTEX IO platform, customizing applications and integrating VTEX APIs (Catalog, Checkout, Order Management, etc.).
Collaborate with UX, Product, and QA teams to deliver seamless user experiences and robust solutions.
Ensure high standards of code quality, scalability, and performance.
Troubleshoot, debug, and document issues across production and non-production environments.
Contribute to system testing, deployment planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
6+ years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on ReactJS, Node.js, Next.js, or Golang.
Solid understanding of micro-frontend architectures and building scalable applications.
Proven experience designing, building, and integrating RESTful APIs (GraphQL a plus).
Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+) and asynchronous programming.
Experience with libraries such as Redux and Immutable.js.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, build tools, linters, and bundlers.
Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors (SASS, LESS).
Knowledge of responsive design and browser compatibility considerations.
Awareness of SEO best practices in the context of e-commerce.
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology and collaboration tools (Git, GitLab, Jenkins, Jira, VS Code, SonarQube).
Nice-to-have: Experience with Flutter
Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and ownership mindset.
