We are seeking a Final Mile Planner to support the planning and execution of final-mile deliveries. This role is critical to ensuring on-time, accurate, and customer-focused delivery execution. The Final Mile Planner serves as the first point of contact for stores on all final-mile delivery matters and works closely with final-mile carriers, transportation partners, distribution centers, and internal planning teams. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with strong exposure to transportation planning, carrier management, and customer experience.

We are seeking a Final Mile Planner to support the planning and execution of final-mile deliveries. This role is critical to ensuring on-time, accurate, and customer-focused delivery execution. The Final Mile Planner serves as the first point of contact for stores on all final-mile delivery matters and works closely with final-mile carriers, transportation partners, distribution centers, and internal planning teams. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role with strong exposure to transportation planning, carrier management, and customer experience.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute daily outbound final-mile delivery planning
• Assign deliveries to approved carriers based on service type, capacity, geographic coverage, and delivery commitments
• Validate delivery details including customer address, delivery window, service level (curbside, in-home, white glove), and equipment requirements
• Release delivery plans accurately and on time to carriers and distribution centers
• Monitor day-of-delivery execution and proactively identify and mitigate service risks
• First level of escalation for stores and carriers regarding final-mile delivery execution.

• Acts are primary contact to support coordinator and inquiry volume.
• Assist with responding to store inquiries related to delivery status, delays, reschedules, and order-related issues
• Communicate delivery updates, exceptions, and resolutions clearly and professionally
• Partner with internal and external teams (operations, transportation, customer care support) to resolve store escalations efficiently
• Serve as the day to day operational contact for assigned final mile carriers
• Communicate delivery expectations, route details, service standards, and special handling requirements
• Address carrier inquiries related to accessorial, documentation, and delivery execution
• Escalate capacity constraints, service failures, safety concerns, or compliance issues to leadership as required
• Manage delivery exceptions including missed deliveries, Not-At-Home, damages, shortages, and unsuccessful delivery attempts
• Assist with weekly review and follow-up of open delivery claims through to resolution
• Review unsuccessful deliveries and take appropriate corrective action
• Track and monitor delivery performance metrics including on-time delivery and completion rates
• Identify recurring service or execution issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective actions
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including route optimization, process enhancements, and service reliability improvements
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch platforms, and reporting tools to support planning and execution

• Add in any other tasks assigned by manager to meet business needs

Qualification Standards:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to manage exceptions, make decisions, and communicate clearly under pressure
• Comfortable engaging with stores, carriers, and internal stakeholders
• Willingness to work extended hours or adjusted schedules as required by the business
• 1-3 years of experience in transportation planning, logistics coordination, or final-mile delivery operations

Preferred
• Working knowledge of final-mile delivery models and service types (curbside, threshold, white glove)
• Experience working with transportation management systems (TMS), dispatch, or routing platforms preferred
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and operational reporting tools preferred
• Experience managing carriers and resolving delivery exceptions or claims preferred

Salary range : 52 223$ to 90 519 $
