Our expectations
The Demand Planning Manager will lead our forecasting and inventory planning processes. This role is critical in ensuring accurate demand forecasts and managing our inventory projection models to optimize stock levels, reduce costs, and support overall business objectives.


Your role

  • Develop, maintain, and improve demand forecasting models to ensure accuracy and reliability aligned with business goals.
  • Drive improved forecast accuracy, throughout all customer channels, with a comprehensive and collaborative sales forecast program, simplified and enhanced forecasting methodologies
  • Monitor forecast accuracy metrics regularly, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal forecast performance
  • Manage the Demand/forecast performance of both regular and promotional events, and work on mitigation plan if/when required
  • Manage the inventory projection model to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and inventory planning, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory
  • Collaborate closely with Merchandising, MFP, and Supply Chain teams to gather insights and integrate business strategy into demand plans, new product introduction and inventory projection.
  • Ensure demand/forecast is driving the right quantity of items, for each item and location in the distribution network
  • Participates in settings priorities for the Demand planning team and provide leadership in process definition, problem solving, and project implementation.
  • Lead cross-functional demand planning meetings and present forecasts and inventory projections to management.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in demand planning processes, tools, and reporting
  • Ensure alignment of demand planning activities with financial targets and operational plans


The qualifications we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in logistics, management, or business administration and 3 years related experience in one or more logistics disciplines (physical distribution, inventory management, manufacturing, distribution centre operations management)
  • At least 5 years of experience within the Supply Chain function of a large retailer
  • Superior analytical skills, particularly in the area of financial and strategic analysis
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and demonstrated ability to support multiple teams at the same time
  • Strong project management skills are an asset
  • Ability to interface effectively with management at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Ability to handle multiple high priority tasks simultaneously in a very dynamic and fast-passed environment
