Your Role

The Cost Analytics Manager leads a team of analysts focused on evaluating cost drivers, monitoring commodity trends, and identifying negotiation levers to support strategic vendor discussions. This role is accountable for ensuring cost efficiency across the assortment by developing robust processes, advanced analytical tools, and reporting frameworks that enable data-driven decision-making and strengthen negotiation outcomes

  • Lead, coach, and mentor a team of cost analysts to deliver high-quality insights and actionable recommendations.

  • Drive cost management strategies by reviewing cost increases analysis, commodity trends, and vendor performance to identify mitigation opportunities.

  • Oversee and guide the evaluation of cost drivers, ensuring proactive responses to fluctuations and risks.

  • Manage annual vendor negotiations to achieve cost improvements, strengthen supplier partnerships, and support profitability goals.

  • Influence strategic decisions by participating in key meetings, steering discussions toward cost optimization, and providing analytical support.

  • Design and implement scalable processes and advanced analytical tools to improve cost tracking, reporting, and forecasting.

  • Champion automation and efficiency initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance data accuracy.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, finance, and merch team to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Prepare executive-level presentations and summaries that clearly communicate findings and strategic implications.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and accountability within the team and across the organization.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on cost drivers, commodity markets, and negotiation strategies.

The Qualifications we're are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or finance, or equivalent

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate despite ambiguity

  • Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally and building relationships

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization and across functions

  • Spoken and written bilingualism (French and English)

  • Exceptional analytical skills and a demonstrated ability to build financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving

  • Strong organization skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

  • Retail or consumer goods experience (preferred)
