Are you driven by growth, entrepreneurship, and building meaningful business relationships? RONA is looking for a Business Development Manager to help accelerate the expansion of our affiliate dealer network across Québec.
Your Role
In this key role, you’ll be at the forefront of our growth strategy-identifying new opportunities, cultivating trust-based partnerships, and driving RONA’s presence in the market. You’ll leverage your deep understanding of the industry to spot trends, anticipate dealer needs, and negotiate win-win agreements.
You’ll proactively seek out new partners through networking, in-person visits, creative prospecting, and industry events. You’ll showcase RONA’s solutions, engage and support dealers in their development, and work closely with our existing affiliates to help them reach their growth and market consolidation goals.
Collaboration is at the heart of this role-you’ll work with colleagues across marketing, finance, credit, legal, and technical teams to unlock new business opportunities and create value for both RONA and our partners. You’ll also play a strategic role by keeping a close watch on the competitive landscape and evolving market trends.
The qualifications we are looking for
- University degree in business administration or a related field
- At least 5 years’ experience in business development
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Proven strengths in prospecting, negotiation, and closing deals
- Experience in the hardware and building materials sector (an asset)
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Willingness to travel frequently within the region, including overnight stays
