Our expectations

The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving sales forecasts to effectively support replenishment and inventory management. The role aims to ensure reliable forecasting aligned with business objectives, in close collaboration with the Supply and Merchandising teams.

Your role

  • Adjust forecasts in system considering history, trends, seasonality, promotions, and business events.

  • Evaluate, adjust, and validate promotional sales lifts in collaboration with the Merchandising team, and ensure the entry and ongoing update of promotional information in the Demand Planning tool.

  • Monitor forecast performance, analyze accuracy and bias, and drive continuous improvement (e.g., forecast accuracy, bias, MAPE).

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply, Merchandising, Operations, Finance) to align forecasts with business initiatives and constraints.

  • Monitor product lifecycle within the assortment and recommend adds/deletes based on demand signals, inventory health, and business priorities.

  • Summarize demand insights, risks/opportunities, and scenario analyses (e.g., upside/downside, capacity or supply constraints).

  • Perform exception-based forecasting and root-cause analysis (e.g., outliers, stockouts, one-time events) and recommend corrective actions.

  • Coordinate forecasting inputs for new product introductions and transitions (predecessor/successor), ensuring demand planning parameters and master data are accurate and maintained.

  • Develop and maintain standard reporting and dashboards to communicate forecast, assumptions, and key drivers to stakeholders.

What we're looking for :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, data science, operations management, supply chain, business analytics, or other relevant discipline (Supply Chain concentration a benefit).

  • 1 to 4 years’ related experience, preferably in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management (retail and/or distribution an asset).

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize inputs from multiple data sources and translate findings into clear recommendations and actions.

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office; experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) and data querying (e.g., SQL) is a strong asset. Experience working in ERP environments; knowledge of JDA (Blue Yonder) is an asset.

  • Understanding of forecasting concepts and time-series drivers (trend, seasonality, events), and familiarity with demand planning best practices (e.g., exception management, segmentation).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to influence stakeholders, challenge assumptions constructively, and present data-driven insights.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, autonomous, and proactive; able to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment.

  • Well-developed business acumen and sense of urgency, with a customer-focused mindset and attention to service and inventory trade-offs.

  • Continuous improvement mindset with strong ownership: identify process gaps, propose solutions, and support standardization and documentation.

  • Knowledge of the retail industry and/or distribution networks (an asset).
