Expectations
As an Assortment Planning Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining the overall assortment structure across categories. You will be responsible for analyzing assortment performance, identifying gaps and opportunities, and providing data‑driven recommendations that strengthen category strategies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Merchandising teams to support category reviews and ensure assortment decisions are aligned with business objectives. Reporting to the Assortment Planning Project Manager, you will prepare in‑depth analyses, tools, and insights that guide strategic decision‑making across the organization.
Your role-
Collaborate with merchandisers to understand the needs and objectives of each category.

Analyze sales data, market trends, and product performance.

Identify assortment improvement opportunities and provide recommendations.

Prepare reports and presentations to inform merchandisers and management.

Lead team meetings and discussions on assortment strategy.

Develop expertise in assigned areas of the assortment planning process.

Create ad hoc analyses to support assortment optimization and financial modeling scenarios.

The qualifications we are looking for

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data.

Clear communicator and effective presentation skills.

Strong organizational skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent proficiency in Excel.

Proficiency in PowerBI, an asset.
-
Understanding of concepts related to assortment planning.

Retail experience preferred.
