Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of new products and prototypes, overseeing the design, optimization, fabrication, testing, and validation of mechanical systems and components from concept to production. Provide technical guidance to the engineering team and drive innovative design solutions that support product performance and manufacturability.
- Manage and execute engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence, adherence to timelines, and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct advanced engineering analyses related to materials, structural integrity, heat transfer, hydraulics, manufacturability, and product performance.
- Evaluate and improve mechanical assemblies with a focus on reliability, quality, cost-effectiveness, and various fabrication and manufacturing methods.
- Prepare, review, and approve detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Develop and maintain product manuals, including product specifications, drawings, pricing information, schematics, and sales reference materials.
- Establish testing methodologies, oversee validation activities, and analyze results to ensure compliance with design requirements and industry standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and support to junior engineers, designers, and other engineering team members while promoting collaboration, innovation, and professional development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, production, quality assurance, purchasing, sales, and customer service, to ensure successful project execution.
- Investigate product performance issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support customers by providing advanced technical expertise and resolving complex engineering and product-related issues.
- Prepare engineering reports, project status updates, technical evaluations, and recommendations for management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, engineering standards, and company policies.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned to support business and operational needs.

Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 7+ years of experience in large structure des or heavy equipment design and manufacturing.
Other Requirements:
- Advanced mechanical design and product development expertise.
- Strong proficiency in CAD using SolidWorks
- Project management skills.
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities.
- Leadership, coaching, and mentoring abilities.
- Excellent communication and technical reporting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to meeting deadlines and ensuring engineering efficiency
- Open to travel
