The Inventory Specialist is responsible for the accurate management of physical inventory while ensuring the cleanliness and continuous maintenance of the inventory database (Microsoft Access). This role requires close coordination with Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing, Production, and Database Administration departments to ensure data accuracy and support efficient production operations.

Reporting to the Production Director or Operations Director, you will work within a family-owned company with an entrepreneurial spirit, specializing in the manufacturing of tracked utility vehicles for the energy, forestry, mining, and defense sectors. You will play a key role in the continued success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Place incoming parts in designated warehouse and production locations, ensuring they are properly labelled and organized.
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory counts; reconcile discrepancies with the Access database.
  • Participate in inventory data cleanup and validation within the Access database, ensuring part numbers, descriptions, and bin locations are accurate.
  • Provide timely inventory reports and stock level updates to the Purchasing and Production departments.
  • Replenish production lines from primary storage locations to ensure a continuous supply of materials.
  • Support the production line and storage area labelling project to improve traceability and operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with Shipping and Receiving to ensure the smooth flow of incoming and outgoing goods.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing and Database Administration teams to identify and resolve issues in real time.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse operations, labelling standards, and system processes.
  • Follow health and safety procedures within warehouse and production areas.
