Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Primary Duties:
- Provide cost control expertise including cost forecasting, construction management support, and schedule analysis.
- Analyze, evaluate, and forecast project cost performance against established baselines.
- Support the development and implementation of CBS, estimate breakdown, and WBS.
- Monitor contractor labor hours and costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective action.
- Generate and analyze cost reports using SAP and/or EcoSys.
- Implement cost control processes such as commitment tracking, VOWD analysis, cost phasing, and earned value management.
- Process project change notices and integrate changes into cost forecasts and reports.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly cost performance reports, including variances and currency fluctuation analysis.
- Maintain change/trend logs and ensure accurate contingency management.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and standardization of cost control processes.
- Collaborate virtually with project stakeholders and resolve technical and business issues as they arise.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
- High school diploma or GED with at least 10 years of project controls experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline with 4 - 6 years of consecutive project controls experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience with cost/estimating platforms such as SAP, EcoSys, CAS, or Aconex.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Working knowledge of earned value principles, project controls methodologies, and risk/change management.
Salary Range for Role $80,000 - $85,000
