YOUR ROLE
  • Assess patients’ health status and provide appropriate care throughout the transfer, in accordance with medical protocols while considering each patient’s specific needs and preferences;
  • Coordinate and plan air medical transports by overseeing every stage of the transfer, including medical care as well as ground and air transportation arrangements;
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders involved (flight coordination, medical teams, hospitals, ambulance services, etc.) to ensure accurate follow-up and optimal patient care;
  • Apply and comply with established procedures and policies while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.

Requested skills

  • An experienced Registered Nurse and active member of the OIIQ, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in critical care or emergency care;
  • Fully bilingual (French and English), comfortable working in a dynamic and interdisciplinary environment;
  • CAMATA, SIR, or ACLS certification is considered an asset—and if you don’t have them yet, we’ll provide the training;
  • Strong planning, communication, collaboration, and decision-making skills, with the ability to respond quickly in fast-paced situations;
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and well-being;
  • Knowledge of Indigenous communities and cultural realities is considered an asset.
