In compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 (CCEYA) and the standards of the Ontario Ministry of Education (MEDU), the coordinator provides child care centre directors with professional and strategic support to guide and inform them in the application of legislative and pedagogical requirements.
She coordinates the development and evaluation of learning programs offered to children in order to ensure the quality of child care services is aligned with MEDU expectations and with Ontario’s early childhood education pedagogy framework, How Does Learning Happen?
She works closely with supervisors and child care centre management to ensure pedagogical and operational alignment, support continuous improvement of practices, and ensure the delivery of services that are consistent, inclusive, and focused on the well-being and overall development of children.
