The incumbent is required to perform the administrative functions for the Provincial Offences. He must also perform receptionist duties to process all offenses paid under the Provincial Offences Act, perform a variety of clerical duties and respond to inquiries from the general public. He also assists the POA Officer with the management of files under the POA office responsibilities.

Regular full-time position (non-unionized)
Work locations: L’Orignal
Schedule: 35 hours/week
Hourly rate: $35.23

Requested skills

  • Two-year college diploma in legal administration and 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of Integrated Court Offences Network (ICON) would be an asset.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and Zoom.
  • Experience with the Clerk’s office Court of Ontario procedures or in a related field would be an asset.
  • Knowledge of legal and technical terms along with legal procedures would be an asset.
  • Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in French and in English.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with tact and diplomacy towards the general public as well as the    intervening groups such as, the police, the magistrate     and the members of the legal profession.
  • Knowledge of the Provincial Offences Act and all other related regulations and applicable law would be an asset.
  • Experience with processing payments and performing financial tasks.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Organizational skills to prioritize and complete the work within the required time.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
