As a Technician,Warehouse at Newmont, you’ll play a critical role in maintaining the smooth flow of materials from suppliers to operational teams. Your work ensures the accuracy, safety, and efficiency of inventory management.
- Receive, store, and issue goods according to procurement and inventory systems
- Perform loading/unloading of trucks and deliver materials to various departments
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts
- Maintain warehouse records using SAP and Microsoft Office
- Support the Warehouse Team Lead with stock replenishment and order accuracy
- Ensure compliance with the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act and Newmont’s safety standards
- Promote Newmont’s values of Safety, Integrity, Sustainability, Inclusion, and Responsibility
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous warehouse or materials handling experience is an asset
- Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license is a requirement
- Forklift certification is an asset
- Physically able to lift 50-70 lbs. with assistance
- Strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork
- Knowledge of transport and hazardous goods regulations is an asset
- Location: Smithers
- Schedule: Typically Monday to Friday, aligned with site demands
- Conditions: Industrial warehouse and underground environments; PPE required
- Additional: Must pass a pre-employment criminal record check.
We are now recruiting for the position of Warehouse Technician with a competitive annual salary of CAD 83,400 -CAD 111,180. The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 83,400-111,180. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
