Workplace Type: Onsite

Newmont produces metals the world needs - safely, responsibly and with care for people, communities and the environment. With a 100+ year history, we continue to shape the future of mining through innovation and strong operational performance. By joining our inclusive, world-class team, you can help shape the future of mining and make a meaningful difference.

Red Chris is an open-pit copper-gold mine in the famous Golden Triangle of northern British Columbia, situated on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. As a fly-in, fly-out operation, Red Chris is reached via charter flights from multiple locations in BC and Alberta, with teams working on a rotational schedule. Currently an active open-pit producer, Red Chris is poised for an exciting transformation - we are developing a high-value underground block cave that will extend the mine’s life for decades and unlock even more resources. The remote location fosters a close-knit “camp” community where safety and teamwork come first. Working at Red Chris offers an adventurous career at the frontier of mining innovation, with the opportunity to shape a major expansion while enjoying the natural beauty of northern Canada. Our team values strong partnerships with local First Nations and is committed to operating in a safe, inclusive and environmentally responsible way.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team at Red Chris, providing critical frontline medical support in a dynamic remote mining environment.

  • Maintain accurate medical records and medical reporting.
  • Manage clinic inventory, equipment, and medication storage.
  • Coordinate with off-site healthcare providers and support communicable disease management.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 medical coverage when required.
Prerequisites
  • Registered Nurse (BC) in good standing.
  • Several years of nursing experience, preferably in emergency, rural, or remote settings.
  • Experience in remote or resource-limited environments is an asset.
  • Remote Certified Practice designation is an asset.
  • Current CPR, ACLS, and EPICC/TNCC certifications.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to work independently.
  • Experience managing patient care from assessment through treatment and follow-up.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Work Environment

This role is based at a remote fly-in/fly-out mining operation in northwest British Columbia. You will work in a camp environment with modern medical facilities, balancing independent decision-making with collaboration across site teams, health partners, and local First Nations communities.
