Newmont North America operations are located in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec with roles in operations, projects, and exploration. Regional Support is provided from our office in Vancouver.

The Analyst, Finance is a key member of the Finance team.
Reporting directly to the Director, Site Business you will play an important role in supporting the annual business planning and forecasting processes working with multiple financial systems, supporting the Site Investment Council process by generating analysis and financial modelling for investment decisions. You will also perform the analysis of monthly financial results with a focus on operating cost and productions key performance indicators analysis. Your role will also include responsibilities related to financial compliance, internal controls, and improvement of business processes.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $85,400 to $113,900.00, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Supporting month-end accounting process, including managing accruals for major contract services, cost allocations and account reconciliations on timely manner
- Completing the reconciliation of production key performance on timely manner liaising with site technical service team
- Analyzing monthly expenses with project owners and reviewing trends to update expense estimates.
- Coordinating cost review process, including reporting/analytics to drive accountability and alignment with guidance
- Preparing cash calls required by Treasury based on value formation, accounts payable, and payroll estimates.
- Working closely with site leadership team to analyze cost variances and highlight trends within the key performance indicators and suggest cost-saving initiatives
- Supporting business planning process, including preparation of multi-year business plans and quarterly forecasts for site operating expenditures
- Developing financial models and templates based on first principles to optimize the planning of site operating expenditures
- Assisting in system configurations and modifications to ensure the integrity and alignment with Company standards and best practices
- Maintaining cost control accounts to ensure the alignment with business plans across multiple systems
- Supporting Site Investment Council process and advising site leadership team with the path forward for investment decisions
- Building tools, dashboard, and reports to facilitate analysis with cost center and project owners.
- Performing Statistics Canada requests on timely manner
- Liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure the compliance of internal controls
- Performing other finance-related duties, as required
- Business, Finance, Accounting, Commerce degree or MBA
- CPA and/or CFA designation desirable
- Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and financial modelling skills
- Working knowledge of SAP, SAP BPC, Financial Planning Systems, Xeras, and Power BI required
- Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an industrial setting
- Experience in warehouse processes in a mining environment
Location: Vancouver Office (hybrid role)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, flexible hybrid arrangement
Travel: Occasional travel to Red Chris Mine site as required
Site Accommodation (if applicable): Camp-based lodging with meals, fitness facilities, Wi-Fi, and recreational amenities
Conditions: Primarily office-based with some exposure to remote mine site environments during periodic visits

The expected salary range for this role is CAD $ 85,400-113,900. This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
