Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Red Chris currently operates as an open-pit copper and gold mine with a promising future to transition to a high-value underground block cave operation. Your Impact

As Analyst, EUC (End User Computing), you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the reliability, security, and performance of end-user technology across Red Chris Mine. From resolving technical issues and managing support tickets to ensuring safety protocols and ITIL practices are followed, your work will help deliver seamless digital experiences that keep our operations running safely and efficiently. You’ll work hands-on with devices, applications, and AV systems, while supporting technology change initiatives, collaborating with vendors, and enabling a strong safety and customer service culture.

As Part of Our Team, You Will
  • Champion and uphold safe working practices in accordance with OHS legislation, the Company’s Safety Management System, and Environmental Plans.
  • Adhere to all IT standards, policies, and procedures, while actively supporting their ongoing development and improvement.
  • Follow Newmont-implemented ITIL best practices and actively contribute to continual service improvement.
  • Share knowledge and participate in the effective transfer of information when implementing new technologies and processes.
  • Stay current with the latest desktop technologies, service management tools, and customer service best practices.
  • Provide hands-on support for IT project activities and offer on-the-ground assistance during change initiatives.
  • Maintain and update IT Self Service tickets, ensuring timely and effective support is delivered either on-site or remotely and in line with ticket SLAs.
  • Deliver excellent customer experiences when providing IT support by resolving issues effectively or offering appropriate workarounds.
  • Collaborate with internal and external IT Business Partners to deliver and support technology solutions.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally through written reports, business correspondence, user documentation, and procedural manuals.
Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
Education & Certifications
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent work experience (desirable).
  • ITIL Foundation V4 or previous (essential).
  • Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA A+/N+/Server+ (desirable).
  • VMWare certifications (desirable).
  • Additional certifications in IT systems and products (desirable).

Technical Skills & Capabilities
  • Proficient in providing end-user support within defined SLAs, with experience in prioritizing service desk tickets (P1/P2).
  • Strong understanding of IT asset management, configuration databases, and documentation standards.
  • Skilled in managing and administering IT systems including Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Group Policy, SolarWinds, and Unified Communications tools.
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting to automate IT administration tasks.
  • Ability to maintain the effectiveness of workstations, AV setups, printers, mobile devices, and conferencing equipment.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Experience
  • Prior experience in a service desk or Level 1/2 IT support role (essential).
  • Experience supporting end-user computing in field-based or remote environments (desirable).

  • Location: Red Chris Mine in Dease Lake, British Columbia - situated on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation
  • Schedule: 15 / 13, fly-in fly-out (FIFO) rotation
  • Accommodation: Camp-based lodging provided, including meals, Wi-Fi, fitness and recreational facilities

The expected salary range for this role is CA$83,400-111,180 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience.
