Our Red Chris Mine, located in the heart of Northern British Columbia on the traditional territory of the Tahltan Nation. A short distance from Iskut and Dease Lake, Our fly-in, fly-out site offers access from various points across British Columbia and Alberta. Red Chris currently operates as an open-pit copper and gold mine with a promising future to transition to a high-value underground block cave operation. Your Impact

As an Advisor, Social Performance Systems, you will play a key role in driving sustainable and responsible mining practices at Red Chris Mine. Your expertise will help ensure compliance with social performance obligations, strengthen community relations, and support Newmont’s commitment to transparency through robust data and reporting systems. By supporting community engagement and contributing to long-term social investment initiatives, you will directly impact our ability to operate responsibly and build meaningful relationships with Indigenous groups and local stakeholders. The salary for this position is between 83,000-111,000 and based on skills and experience.

As part of our team you will
  • Implement and maintain social performance data management systems and compliance programs.

  • Manage and analyze data to support internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Participate in community engagement activities and help administer stakeholder grievance tracking and resolution.

  • Assist with budget and administrative functions such as generating purchase requisitions and maintaining vendor records.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system performance and support site-wide social performance strategies.

  • Represent the Social Performance team in cross-site and enterprise-wide initiatives, helping share best practices and optimize tools and processes.

Prerequisites for your success in this role
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainability or health and safety reporting, ideally within the mining or industrial sector.

  • Strong experience in community engagement or relations, particularly with Indigenous communities.

  • Proven ability to manage and maintain accurate databases and records.

  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning systems; experience with SAP is a strong asset.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

Your work environment
  • Primary location: Red Chris Mine, Iskut, BC, working on a Fly in fly out rotation basis

  • Alternate arrangement: Vancouver-based with frequent travel to site

  • Dynamic team setting, working closely with Social Performance, Community Investment, and other operational teams.

  • Fieldwork may include attending community meetings and engagement events.

  • Regular use of data systems and collaboration platforms across business units.
