About Brucejack

Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga’a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

As a member of the Brucejack family, we put your health, comfort, and safety first. You’ll stay in private rooms with individual washrooms, enjoy balanced meals prepared by our exceptional culinary team, and have access to a 24-hour snack and sandwich bar. We also have plenty of ways for you to relax and stay active, with a gym, fitness classes, a golf simulator, and seasonal activities like snowshoeing and hiking. For creative downtime, our music room is a fully equipped space where you can play or listen to music. Our Brucejack Recreation Committee, run by employees on a volunteer basis, organizes activities and events to make camp life fun and bring people together. Your Impact
As an Advisor, Biodiversity and Rehabilitation, you’ll support our commitment to responsible mining by helping to protect and restore the natural environments in which we operate. You’ll play a key role in delivering on our biodiversity and rehabilitation programs, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations, and advancing our sustainability goals.

As Part of Our Team You Will
• Coordinate reclamation, erosion control, and revegetation activities across site areas.
• Implement and monitor biodiversity management plans to support ecosystem health.
• Collect and analyze data on flora and fauna, contributing to environmental performance reporting.
• Support risk assessments and develop mitigation plans for biodiversity impacts.
• Collaborate with environment, operations, and community teams to integrate sustainable practices into daily work.
• Engage with regulators, community stakeholders, and environmental partners to promote transparency and accountability.
• Facilitate biodiversity awareness and training for employees and contractors.

Prerequisites for Your Success in This Role
• Degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, or Civil Engineering (or related discipline).
• Experience in biodiversity management, mine rehabilitation, or environmental compliance.
• Working knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with experience managing data and reports.
• Ability to work safely in both office and field environments.
• Passion for sustainability and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Your Work Environment
This position will be based at one of our operational sites, with a balance of office work and field engagement. You’ll collaborate closely with environment and operations teams and contribute directly to Newmont’s goal of leaving a positive and sustainable environmental legacy.

The expected salary range for this role is CA$$83,400.00 - $111,180.00 . This range is tied to the British Columbia market for jobs performed in British Columbia. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate’s pay history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about pay history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.
