Your role
- Underwrite real estate and commercial financing requests by completing thorough analyses and preparing clear, accurate credit submissions.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of credit recommendations by applying appropriate risk assessment measures and validating compliance with internal policies.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and internal partners to develop financing solutions that meet client needs and support business growth.
- Identify risks, issues, or missing information early in the process and propose solutions to ensure timely credit delivery.
- Participate in improving credit processes and team efficiency by sharing expertise, supporting analysts, and contributing to continuous learning.

Within the BC Region Commercial Credit department, you are part of a team of four colleagues and report to the AVP, Regional Head, Portfolio Management and Compliance. Requirements
- Hold a bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in real estate and commercial credit underwriting.
- Knowledge of risk management, credit policies, and business lending practices.
- Ability to analyze financial information and prepare clear credit submissions.
- Experience in mentoring or offering guidance to junior colleagues.
